NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WSAU) – A Minneapolis man has made his first court appearance on charges he led police on a drunken driving high speed chase last month on Highway 29 in rural Clark County.

David Lehman waived the time limits to a preliminary hearing. The 47-year-old is charged with his 8th drunken driving offense, fleeing an officer, resisting and operating on a revoked license.

He remains jailed on a $25,000 cash bond.

A state trooper tried to pull Lehman over for speeding December 21st. Lehman sped off and led troopers on a chase that went for 28 minutes and reached speeds of 110 miles-per-hour.

The Clark County sheriff's department used spike sticks to deflate the tires on Lehman's car and arrest him.
