WASHINGTON (WSAU) – President Obama will visit Wisconsin next week.
The White House said this afternoon that the Democratic president would make an appearance in the Milwaukee area – but no other details were released.
Republicans quickly pounced on the news.
“Amidst plummeting approval ratings in crucial swing states, the campaigner-in-chief is taking his road show to Milwaukee next week in a desperate effort to push his extreme left-wing ethos of higher taxes, increased entitlements, and deficit spending,” state party spokesman Ben Sparks said in a statement.
Obama has visited the Badger State seven times since taking over the White House at the start of 2009. But he hasn’t been to Wisconsin since the day after last year’s State-of-the-Union address in late January of 2011.
