DELL PRAIRIE, Wis (WSAU) A 23-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a passing vehicle on Highway 13 in Adams County. Brandi Norton was walking on the side of the road around 10pm Saturday night after her car ran out of gas. She was struck by a 36-year-old driver in Dell Prairie township.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Devine Savior Hospital in Wisconsin Dells, and then airlifted to UW-Hospital in Madison.
Sheriffs deputies say the accident is under investigation.

Meanwhile a third person has died after a weekend wreck in Fond du Lac.
A group of teenagers from Campbellsport were involved in the crash around 3am Saturday near Highway 67 in Ashford. They were all members of the high school soccer team. It’s not known why they were out so late. Two died at the scene; the third victim died Sunday. Four others are still hospitalized.
Investigators say excessive speed was a factor in the crash. None of the victims were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol was not involved.
