MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) The Milwaukee Bucks took a rest on Super Bowl Sunday, after playing four games in six days that were capped off by a pair of losses to Detroit and Chicago. Coach Scott Skiles says he’ll look forward to practice today, where he’ll try to correct mistakes and get his players re-invigorated. Skiles said the Bucks have only had two quarters in their last 12 when they played with high intensity and great effort – and that was during Wednesday night’s home win over Miami.
The Bucks ended a streak of five games with 100 points or more on Friday night, when they lost 88-to-80 at Detroit. Then, Milwaukee gave up a season-high 113 points Saturday night in what was essentially a road game against Chicago, even though it was played on the Bucks’ home floor.
One estimate said the Bradley Center crowd was made up of 70-percent Bulls’ fans – and they chanted “M-V-P” as Bulls’ guard Derrick Rose lit up the Chicago crowd with 26 points and 13 assists.
The Bucks are 10-and-13, and will host Phoenix tomorrow night. That will be Michael Redd’s first game in Milwaukee since he signed with the Suns as a free agent in the early part of the season.
