CHICAGO (WTAQ) - Bond was set at $3 million Sunday for a man charged with killing a Milwaukee area native in suburban Chicago.
24-year-old Shaun Wild was stabbed to death early Saturday as he tried to break up an argument at a bar in Naperville Illinois.
27-year-old Daniel Olaska is charged with first-degree murder in Wild’s death. And he’s charged with 2 counts of attempted murder for allegedly injuring two other men.
Wild graduated from Brown Deer High School, where he was in the National Honor Society and competed in football, baseball, and track. His present job was as a second-degree teacher at Naperville.
Prosecutors said Wild intervened in an argument between Olaska and a college student at the bar.
Officials said Olaska took out a folding knife and stabbed both men.
The suspect ran off – and as Wild tried to chase him down, he was stabbed again. A tavern employee was also stabbed while seizing the knife from Olaska.
