STEVENS POINT,Wis (WSAU) Long-time Stevens Point fire chief John Zinda has retired. He'd been with the fire department for 30 years. He'd served as chief since Mark Barnes left in 2007.
Zinda is a life-long Stevens Pointresident, graduating fromPacelli High School and U-W Stevens Point.
Assistant chief Tracey Kujawa will run the department until a new chief is named. The police and fire commission will meet later this week.
