TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WIBQ) - Drivers will begin noticing new sign along State Road 46 between U.S. 40 and Interstate 70.
Terre Haute now has ownership and is responsible for that stretch of road. U.S. 40 runs alongside State Road 46. Officials stress the highway's now serving a dual purpose. Mayor Duke Bennett says it will be mainly used to direct truck traffic to I-70. Don't expect the sinage to relieve traffic congestion.
