(Lansing, MI) -- The state may soon be changing the sex offender registry to make it easier to pick-out potentially dangerous predators from those who are no real threat. Senator Rick Jones will be introducing legislation next week that would categorize the crimes and keep anyone who has reached legal age, but has consensual sex with someone no more than four years younger, off the list. A change is needed to comply with the Adam Walsh Act, which is aimed at making sex offender lists uniform across the country.
