MERRILL, Wis. (WSAU) – A Tomahawk man arrested for a fight Christmas Eve will appear in court today on charges he set off a fire alarm in the jail.
The man’s name will not be released until a bond hearing.
Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies arrested the 20-year-old on battery and disorderly conduct charges at a home in the town of Wilson.
After he was booked into jail, the man tore the head off of a fire sprinkler in his holding cell. That caused water to start flowing and set off the jail’s fire alarms.
He will also be charged with criminal damage to property and intentionally sounding a false fire alarm.
