STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) Stevens Point had announced two finalists to become the city's next fire chief. The Police and Fire Commission voted yesterday to bypass both candidates, and reopen the search.
The board said both Gregory Benson and Gregory Michalek were strong candidates, but neither were the right fit for the job.
The position will be reposted this fall. The commission says the hope to hire a new fire chief in early 2011.
