MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) – Federal inspectors spent their morning in southwest Wisconsin, checking to see if Grant County would qualify for disaster aid.

The county reported over $1 million-dollars in flood damage last week to roads-and-bridges alone. The Federal Emergency Management Agency had one team of inspectors in Grant County.

And four teams will check out the damage in Milwaukee County this afternoon. Officials there have reported over $37-million dollars in damage from last Thursday night’s torrential rains.

Milwaukee health crews handed out more clean-up kits this morning with things like mops and disinfectants. Over 7,000 kits have been distributed since last Friday.

Meanwhile, the severe weather just keeps-on-coming.

The northern third of Wisconsin had storm damage last night, and a possible tornado landed in Barron County.

We’re just now hearing how wet it was. Jump River in Taylor County had the most rain from last evening – almost two-point-two inches.

In Stevens Point, the field was so soggy that the W-I-A-A state summer high school baseball tournament was delayed.
