MERRILL, Wis (WSAU) A 14-year-old in a stolen car led police on a high speed chase Sunday morning that started in Edgar and ended in Mosinee.
Police tried to stop the car in Edgar around 1-30 AM, but the driver sped off and got onto Highway 29, and eventually Highway 51. Police used road spikes to blow out the car's tires, but the driver kept going on the rims. The chase eventually ended in Mosinee when police cruisers surrounded the car and forced it off the road.
The 14-year-old is from Merrill, and was held in a juvenile facility last night. He'll appear in family court later today. Because of his age, his name is not being made public
