SHAWANO, Wis (WSAU) Police are investigating a home invasion and a high speed chase that followed in the Town of Richmond in Shawano County.
Two men with a gun broke into a house early Sunday morning an assaulted a resident inside. They fled in a black pick-up truck when police arrived. A high speed chase into Shawano followed, where sheriffs deputies forced the vehicle off the road. The two suspects fled on foot.
The driver was traced to a nearby home with the help of a police dog. He's now in custody and will make an initial court appearance today. The passenger is still at-large. Anyone with information should call the Shawano County sheriffs department at 715 526-3111.
